48-hour short ribs!
We overcame the interference issues from the last update, and have passed all of the tests for CE certification. However, we have met fierce resistance from our factory on production of these units. Although we point out that Nomiku is a “portable appliance,” since it can be easily moved, a new consultant employed by the factory insists it is a “fixed appliance” due to its attachment to a pot. As a fixed appliance, Nomiku would need to be certified for underwater use, which is impossible with the current design.
We have spent hundreds of hours in arguments about this, and have agreement from several other certification authorities that Nomiku is in fact portable. We are sorely disappointed that our partner in production has put up such a roadblock to moving forward with making the 240V units.
We are pushing to start production of the 240V units regardless of the factory’s internal issues, and will continue negotiating with them daily until we can ship these units. We find it pretty absurd that we have overcome everything so far to be blocked at the last minute by the whim of a few obstinate individuals. Nevertheless, we are sure we will persevere and find a way to produce these units and get them into your hands.
Seattle throwdown and party!
