We’re back from Bite SV! We spent the weekend in Santa Clara at Levi’s Stadium, meeting some of the greatest culinary minds in the world, seeing some of the biggest food innovations out there, and of course showing off Nomiku and serving up some sous vide noms! This is the first-ever food and tech festival of its kind in Silicon Valley, and we’re so excited to have been a part of it! Above you’ll see Monica, Scott, and Patrick ready to take on Day 2 of Bite SV!
We served up some rye crisps with sous vide egg yolk, sous vide bacon and strawberry jam, and chevre. Among those who came to enjoy was Chef Jose Andres!
We also got to see Chef Roy Choi speak about his newest endeavor, Loco’l. Very inspiring!
And look who we bumped into outside! Chef Dominque Crenn! Not only was meeting her awesome, but so were her foie gras pieces of amazing-ness:
We also got to sneak a picture with Chef Michael Chiarello–one of our SF faves!
And it wouldn’t be a food event without one, but TWO Top Chef winners–Chefs Michael Voltaggio and Mei Lin!! (Here’s our recipe video with Mei right here in case you missed it).
But let’s get to seeing some of the food shall we?
Here’s Chef Voltaggio’s hokkaido scallop with cherries and hazelnuts!
And some 3D-printed sugar candies from 3DSystems. Almost too pretty to eat. But just almost.
Also, as a sponsor for the event, we got to put on a demo, where cofounder Lisa and Chef Scott were interviewed by Kerry Diamond, the editor of Yahoo Food and Cherry Bombe, then showed the audience the power of sous vide cooking through some perfect sous vide eggs and sous vide steak (and it was even broadcast on TVs throughout the entire space!)! Samples were of course given out to a resounding “mmmmmm”.
The event was so amazing and we’re looking forward to next year already! Check out our Instagram for more pictures!
