Whether you’re celebrating solo, having some of your best friends over, or trying to woo your boo, there’s one thing that you’ll always need: GOOD FOOD. So we’ve pulled together some of our favorite recipes to give you an easy-to-do and easy-to-impress menu to keep the day more about being with your loved one than with your kitchen stove.
Why not start out your meal with some actual hearts? These artichokes (okay, we include more than just the hearts) come out of the bath nice and tender and with a nice bite to them. You can peel the layers off one by one and if you are that kind of couple, even feed them to each other (after dipping in the citrus mascarpone of course).
No one likes feeling heavy, especially with how most Valentine’s Days end…(otherwise we would’ve recommended a big honkin’ sous vide steak!) This quail is a pretty quick cook, and is super simple to cook to perfection. Your V-day entree is going to be the main star of the meal, so why not make something that’s quick, will allow you to stay out of the kitchen, and is sure to impress your lover? There’s no good reason not to, that’s why.
End your meal on some decadence. This sous vide creme brulee is rich and smooth and who doesn’t like a little heat, a little fire on Valentine’s Day, huh? Just be sure you know how to use your culinary torch before taking this dish on. Nothing more embarrassing than a bad brulee, or like, catching your date on fire.
There’s just something sexy about the combination of cherries and chocolate, and when you add in some alcohol…well! We hope after sipping these during the entire dinner, you and your whoever-you’re-eating with will be in higher spirits and ready to be even more loved by you.
